Michael Tucker

Superintendent, Florida State Fire College


Michael Tucker is the Superintendent of the Florida State Fire College. The Fire College serves as the regulatory agency for fire service providers as well provider of all training curriculums relative fire service credentials for nearly 70,000 fire and emergency services personnel in Florida. Michael joined the Fire College in 2014 after a 29 year career in the Fire Service serving all ranks, including 13 years as Fire Chief in The Villages, FL.  Prior to becoming Fire Chief, Michael served 13 years with Reedy Creek Emergency Services which protects the Walt Disney World complex in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Michael’s academic accomplishments include a Baccalaureate Degree from the University of Phoenix and an MPA from Florida Gulf Coast University. Michael has also completed the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. Michael is actively involved in coaching youth sports programs and serving the community in a variety of other activities.
